How to Choose a University Career
10 things that I have learned as a university student and as a mother:
1/10 – Time to Fly
2/10 – Try a Foreign University
3/10 – Keep doing Sport
4/10 – Sciences or Humanities?
5/10 – What if I have no idea about what to do?
6/10 – What I want and I like or what I reason I have better job opportunities?
7/10 – Know yourself first!
8/10 – What if I “make a mistake”? Descartes or Hume…
9/10 – Take a sabbatical year and travel around the World
10/10 – Now You!
1/10 – It’s time to Fly
It’s time to fly away from home. Leave the warm nest and start flying. The university is the funniest time in life … as long as you do not stay at home with your parents.
Perhaps you will live in other happier times, but not so carefree or free.
Freedom, meeting people, making friends, know yourself, to take responsibilities, the distribution and prioritization of your time … they are part of the personal learning of the university years.
If you stay at home you will not experience it with the same intensity.
And stay calm, your parents will also appreciate it;)
To paraphrase Ortega y Gasset:
“I am me and my circumstances.” …
.and my choices! It is in your hand to choose it right.
